Refund Policy
Last updated 19 June 2026
This policy explains when Kindlefish will refund a payment and when a purchase is final. It is intentionally strict because Kindlefish delivers personalised digital research, reports, and paid data access that cannot be returned once used. Nothing in this policy limits any legal rights that cannot be excluded.
Summary
- Free tools: no payment, so no refund applies.
- Pro subscriptions: first payments may be refundable only if requested within 14 days and no paid-only use has occurred.
- Renewals: non-refundable once the renewal period has been used, except for duplicate charges, billing errors, or mandatory legal rights.
- Fee reports: final once generation starts, a credit is redeemed, or the report is delivered, except for failed delivery, duplicate charges, material technical faults we cannot fix, or mandatory legal rights.
Pro subscriptions
You may request a refund of your first Pro payment within 14 days of purchase only if your account has not used paid-only features during that paid period, including Pro search access, saved Pro-only research, reverse-ASIN or Ads-target features, or Fee report credits. Once paid-only usage begins, the subscription payment is considered used and is not refundable except where required by law or where Kindlefish made a duplicate or billing-error charge.
You can cancel Pro at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the paid period, and we do not normally prorate partial months or years.
Renewals
Renewal charges are non-refundable once the renewed period has been used. If you believe a renewal was charged in error, email us within 7 days of the renewal and do not use paid-only features in the renewed period while we review it. We may refund mistaken, duplicate, or unauthorised renewal charges where the account activity supports the request.
$9.99 Fee report
A Fee report is a personalised digital research report. When you start checkout, tick the acknowledgement, redeem a Fee credit, or otherwise ask Kindlefish to begin generation, you ask us to start work immediately. Once generation starts, a credit is redeemed, the report is delivered, or the report is downloaded, the purchase is final and is not refundable for change of mind, dissatisfaction with unfavourable findings, input mistakes, external Amazon changes, publishing outcomes, ad performance, or failure to use the report.
We will refund, rerun, or restore a credit, at our discretion, if:
- you were charged twice for the same report;
- you were charged but no report was generated or delivered;
- a technical failure caused a materially incomplete report and we cannot reasonably rerun or fix it;
- an account-credit report failed and the correct remedy is restoring the credit; or
- applicable law requires a refund.
What is not refundable
- completed reports that were generated, viewed, emailed, downloaded, or made available to your account;
- reports based on incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable inputs supplied by you;
- reports you disagree with because the niche looks crowded, demand is low, keywords are competitive, or the recommendations are not what you hoped for;
- losses or dissatisfaction caused by Amazon policy changes, marketplace changes, KDP category changes, ad performance, publishing decisions, cover/copy/review quality, or commercial outcomes;
- unused time in a subscription period after cancellation;
- expired, used, promotional, bonus, or included Fee credits, except where a failed report should have restored the credit;
- accounts suspended for abuse, fraud, chargeback misuse, policy breach, scraping, account sharing, or violation of the Terms of Service; and
- payments made through a third party where that third party controls the refund process.
Chargebacks and disputes
Contact us first so we can investigate quickly. If you file a chargeback or payment dispute for a valid charge after using paid features or receiving a report, we may provide usage, delivery, checkout, and report evidence to Stripe or the payment network and may suspend the account while the dispute is pending.
How to request a refund
Email hello@kindlefish.io with the email address used for purchase, the approximate payment time, the Stripe receipt or order ID if available, and the reason you believe the charge qualifies under this policy. Refunds, when approved, are issued to the original payment method through Stripe. Your bank or card issuer controls how long the refund takes to appear.
Taxes, fees, and currency
Approved refunds normally return the amount actually charged by Kindlefish through Stripe. Currency conversion differences, bank fees, card fees, or third-party charges may not be refundable by Kindlefish.
Legal rights
This policy is a commercial refund policy. Mandatory consumer rights, statutory rights for faulty digital content or services, and rights that cannot legally be excluded still apply. Where the law gives you a right that conflicts with this policy, the law controls.
